Disclaimer: DPI Analyzer Tool Usage & Accuracy
Last Updated: June 2026
To use the DPI Analyzer, you should understand how our website functions. Before you use any tool on this platform, please take a moment to look through this disclaimer. It explains what our tools do, what they cannot do, and how you should use the results they give you. This is not complex legal language. We have written it in plain English, so it is easy to comprehend.
About This Site
DPI Analyzer is a free web app that runs in your browser and gives you tools to help you measure and understand your mouse settings. Our main tools include a DPI analyzer, a mouse sensitivity converter, a double-click test, and an eDPI calculator.
All tools on this website run entirely in your browser. We do not collect your mouse data, store your results, or share any usage information with third parties for marketing purposes. Learn more about DPI Analyzer and why we built these tools.
Who This Website Is For
If you’re a gamer, graphic designer, video editor, or everyday computer user, our tools will help you get a better picture of how your mouse performs. Whether you are trying to dial in your aim in a first-person shooter or get more precise control in a creative application, our tools are built to help.
This website is intended for general informational and practical use only. It is not a substitute for professional hardware diagnostics or manufacturer-grade testing equipment.
Tool Accuracy and Measurement Limitations
Our DPI analyzer measures your real mouse DPI based on the physical mouse movement that you provide. The accuracy of the result depends heavily on how carefully you perform the test. If you move your mouse an inconsistent distance, drag it at an angle, or use an uneven surface, the result will reflect that.
The tool gives you a strong estimate. It is not a lab-grade measurement. Most users find the results accurate within a few percentage points of their mouse’s advertised DPI, which is good enough for practical gaming and productivity use. For a closer look at how accurate a DPI analyzer really is, see our full breakdown.
Factors That Can Affect Your Results
Several things can cause a result that looks different from what you expected.
- Mouse surface quality. A worn or low-texture mousepad can cause the sensor to lose tracking briefly during measurement.
- In-game sensitivity settings. These do not affect hardware DPI. Our analyzer measures hardware DPI only.
- Windows pointer speed. If pointer acceleration or enhanced pointer precision is enabled, your cursor will move unpredictably during the test. Disable these before testing for the most reliable reading.
- Browser zoom level. Make sure your browser is set to 100% zoom before running any tool on this site.
- Mouse firmware or driver profiles. Some gaming mice apply DPI shifts at the driver level that can interfere with browser-based measurements.
Sensitivity Converter and eDPI Calculator Results
The results from our sensitivity converter and eDPI calculator are mathematically derived based on the numbers you input. These are starting points, not answers. Everyone has different preferences, hand size, grip style, and muscle memory. The converted value gives you a solid baseline to work from, but you should always fine-tune based on how the result feels in practice.
We do not guarantee that a converted sensitivity will feel identical across all games. Some games apply additional multipliers, field-of-view corrections, or input scaling that sit outside the scope of a standard conversion formula.
No Warranties or Guarantees
DPI Analyzer provides all tools, content, and information on an “as is” basis. We make no warranties, expressed or implied, about the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or suitability of any tool or result produced on this website.
